Costume Ideas For This Halloween.

Fall is my favorite time of year – the weather, colors, sweaters, pumpkin spice and Halloween! Halloween is a big part of what makes this season my fave. Being older does take a little bit of the thrill out of it. Trick or treating was one of the best parts of what made this holiday so much fun to me, but there are still so many aspects that I love! Dressing up has not changed, by any means!

Over the past few years, unfortunately I have not really participated in dressing up but this year is different. I thought it would be fun to put together some costume ideas that I would love to try out this coming holiday.

I got all of these images from Pinterest so I will be sure to link the pins for you guys to find!

Candy Buttons.

These were one of my favorite candies when I was growing up. It was fun peeling off each piece to enjoy with each bite. Plus, it’s such a cute DIY look for your next costume party! There is not one way to do this, you can make it your own style. The colors make you pop and it’s a fun conversation piece. There is nostalgia there, and everyone loves nostalgia! Candy buttons are such a classic.

Axl Rose and/or Slash.

The 80s is such a staple for Halloween looks, especially with Axl Rose and Slash. These are two great styles for each of these musicians. As much as these two may have hated one another, it doesn’t matter because people will continue to pair them together until the end of time. A classic that will never die.

Harry Potter Character.

Whether it be Harry Potter, Snape, a student of one of the houses, Qudditch player, etc., there is so much you can do with this! The Harry Potter franchise is so diverse and something that almost everyone can relate with. Being a Potterhead myself, this is one of my favorite costume ideas there is.

Animated Lizzie McGuire.

Since Disney+ has helped bring back my childhood favorites, I got to thinking one day while watching Lizzie McGuire… I am going to be Lizzie for Halloween. I started searching Pinterest, Google and an even better thought came to me. Lizzie’s animated alter-ego would be the perfect look! Now THAT is nostalgia! It’s cute, yet simple.

Joker.

The Joker is a super fun and can be super original costume! He’s kind of a costume in himself and there are so many variations of this character that you can do what you want! With Joaquin Phoenix’s interpretation of the character coming out just last year, it is a great one to pick! Heath Ledger’s Joker is arguably the best there ever was and then there is the video games, the comics, Jack Nicholson and so on!

The Office.

The Office is the perfect route to go with your Halloween look. The show has been off the air for about seven years but it is still just as iconic! There are SO many characters, many different looks between each character and even costumes within the show, whether they be Halloween or something else.

This doesn’t even have to apply to just The Office! You can be a character from any of your favorite TV shows. It is a great conversation piece and also something that you may really just enjoy to be for a day.

These are just some of the ideas that came to mind for Halloween. There are endless ideas that you can be, funny, scary, iconic, etc! I’m telling you, Pinterest is the place to check for more great costume looks and ideas! I hope that one of these may have helped you out if you were a little unsure this year 🙂 .

Happy almost Halloween! 🎃
