I Wore A Fall Themed Shirt Everyday of October.
Alright, fine… maybe I didn’t wear a fall themed shirt EVERYDAY but that was definitely the intent. I bought many more fall and horror shirts in September in preparation to wear each of them in October. I ended up doubling up on a couple of them or I missed an opportunity for a photo. Hey, fall isn’t over just yet, and I always have next year to get the chance to wear them! Here are some of my fun fall shirts I got to wear throughout the spooky season 🎃.
PSL, aka pumpkin spice lattes, are my FAVE. I’m the kind of person that is all for pumpkin everything and I try to make PSL last as long as the stores will set it! I just truly can’t get enough of that sweet pumpkin flavor. I saw this shirt on Instagram on one of my favorite influencer’s, Steffy, stories. She re-posted it to her story from someone else, and I was so glad she did! She is the fall queen and an all year orange babe! Steffy has such a beautiful aesthetic to her page and the cutest style. Through the story, this shirt was tagged as Target so naturally I went on a hunt to find it, and I sure did.
Three of the biggest horror icons. Of course at least one of them needed to have a featured shirt in this blog and I got all three! Horror is my FAVE genre and I have practically grown up with these three characters. I continue to watch these movies each October, and even throughout the year. I got this tee from an online store called, TeePublic. Various artists, Youtubers, etc. make shirts and they are distributed through this site. This shirt was originally $20 and I got it on sale for $13! Even as I am writing this, they have a sale going again. If you are into different and unique style t-shirts, I highly recommend checking out this company.
Hocus. Freakin. Pocus. There really isn’t much more to say. I bought this shirt, along with another one off of Amazon! You cannot be a Halloween movie lover if this is not one of your FAVE Halloween movies. It is a classic among classics! “Tonight, we fly!”
This may just be an obnoxious orange sweater but does this not scream October or Halloween or fall? Thought so. I loved this sweater so much that I bought it in kelly green and sky blue also! Perfect for that sweater weather time of year, and to contribute to my October themed shirts! I got this from H&M last year (maybe two ago) and I will continue wearing it for the next few years, until I get sick of it.
“Beetlejuice… Beetlejuice… Beetlejuice!” Talk about a deal? I got this from Hot Topic‘s clearance for $6! SIX DOLLARS! You won’t always be able to find such great deals but Hot Topic has sales each week, in store and online. They have merchandise from some of my favorite movies and such so I am there each time I go to the mall. I got so many comments about this shirt when I uploaded this picture to Insta so you could just imagine all the other great things you could find there!
All my fellow Potterheads! During October, Cotton On released a bunch of “fright night” graphic tees, both men and women! Keith was actually the one to bring this to my attention and the next day I went to the mall and loaded up on different shirts. I can thank Cotton On for being a major contributor of my Halloween/fall tees for the month! Not only did I find out that they came out with all these different tees BUT they were on sale, 2 for $25! I love me a good sale, if you couldn’t tell by now 😛 . Being the Harry Potter fan that I am, this tee was a MUST.
Back to back Harry Potter tees? That seems more than acceptable 🙂 . Harry Potter isn’t exactly geared toward the fall season but in the Sorcerer’s Stone (or the Philosopher’s, whatever you prefer), they have a dinner in the Great Hall with the pumpkins floating on the ceiling. Also wizards and witches, spells, mystical creatures… sounds pretty Halloweenie to me! I got this shirt from Newbury Comics (not the exact shirt but still Harry Potter) before attending NYCC.
Who remembers Slappy? Slappy was probably the beginning to scaring the crap out of kids based on living, haunted dolls. I may have loved the horror icons but Goosebumps was TRULY what I grew up on. It is probably the root from where my love for horror stemmed from. The books and later developed shows and movies… I still get a kick out of all of it! I got this tee along with a few other Goosebumps from Cotton On. This went along the “fright night” ones I mentioned earlier. I JUMPED on these and so glad that I did, considering that they are not there anymore.
So this, along with the orange sweater, is not a fall shirt but the color is TOTALLY fall! This cardigan is a beautiful mustard yellow and I just couldn’t get enough of it. I got it from the wonderful service, Stitch Fix. If you are unaware of what this company is, give my Stitch Fix blog a read!
Look familiar? This was another one of the ones that I doubled up on throughout the month. I LOVED this shirt and cardigan combo so I felt the need to get a wear out of them together.
What are some of your favorite things about fall? Some of mine are listed on my shirt 🙂 . Let’s just sub in iced coffee for the hot and this shirt is perfect! This was another Target find that I just couldn’t pass up!
I think “Say Cheese and Die” really came through in this photo… I’m hilarious, I know, lol. This is Goosebumps shirt number two of the five that I got! Another Cotton On “fright night” grab that I knew would be perfect for chilly nights, just like this one.
I understand now that it is after Halloween, November 1st is the beginning of the Christmas season for MANY people. I have SUCH Christmas spirit but when it comes to being that kind of person, I just can’t do it. I hold onto fall as long as I possibly can, considering it is my favorite season. Even though most of you are past the spooky season, I hope that you can still appreciate this blog because I am trying to keep the fall alive, at least until Thanksgiving 🙂 .
See ya,
Samm 🙂
