Hii! My name is Samantha, aka Samm. I recently decided that I would start a blog! I’m 23, have four cats, I’m a Pura Vida rep (discount code: SamanthaJayson20), and have a love for yoga, travel, the outdoors, writing, and all things purple! I have always had a passion for writing but have been very on and off about it. When I was younger, I wanted to be an author… It turns out that I had a calling for business instead. I graduated from college with a marketing degree. Life does not always go as planned but I can say I’m happy where I am!

This is my first time trying something “serious” with my writing but I thought it would be fun! Although, in college I joined a club associated with Spoon University.  I wrote two blogs for them, if that counts. One based on a 30 day challenge and one about being a food service worker.  If you’re interested in reading those, click on each to check them out!

I don’t know how this goes exactly but I’m going to write about my life, experiences, opinions, likes/dislikes, and more! I hope I can give readers as much enjoyment reading, as I get writing! I have considered starting a blog for a few months now but to be honest, I had NO idea how or where to begin. As I am writing this, I just officially created the blog and am excited to see where this goes!

I planned to start the blog the beginning of January but my mom was borrowing my laptop so here we are at the end of January! Christmas helped encourage my start to blogging. I cleared out a spot in my room for a desk and chair. I also got some writing prompt books, a journal, a chalkboard calendar, a color changing himalayan salt lamp, an instax mini 9 camera, and best of all, a smith corona typewriter!

The typewriter is more for the aesthetic, along with the instax. The salt lamp will put me in a soothing mood for that writing mindset. Plus I’m a sucker for colors so it was just that much more perfect. As for the camera, I wouldn’t say I have a hobby for photography but I have always loved taking pictures. I also enjoy older/vintage things, like Polaroid pictures and basically anything cute! And how could you think this camera isn’t adorable? Exactly! This will give me space to really sit down with myself relish in my passion.

Well I have expressed little details about myself, as well as some additional specifics about writing. What are some fun facts about you? Whether it be something as simple as your favorite color, or as complex as every movie that you have watched. I’m a bit of a movie nerd too, so give me some suggestions!
