My Top Five Christmas Movies.

It is the most wonderful time of the year, and you know what that means, CHRISTMAS MOVIES! There are countless holiday movies out in the world and I would bet that Christmas is the majority of those. Everyone has their go to movies that they need to watch each season and I want to give you my top five picks for this season. 🎄

Elf.

I am not a big Will Farrell fan but this movie does it for me! He IS Buddy and really makes Elf what it is. There are so many laugh out loud moments and to this day I laugh at each! The quotes that came from this movie are endless, the singing moments are a hit, the magic they try to fill your heart with to make you a believer all over again… I feel that Buddy brings you back to your youth, just like he does with his dad! And you know if he can make Walter Hobbs a believer, he can make one of anyone! The candy, songs, snowball fights, decorations… give me ALL of it each holiday season.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

This is an absolute classic! I’m not too familiar with the other National Lampoon movies so I can’t compare to those but this movie on it’s own is great all around. It is so out of control, and you just hope that this isn’t what your Christmas is like. I don’t think that’s just me? But to watch another family going through all these wacky moments, makes for a great watch each year. As much as you don’t wish for this in your own family, it is so heartfelt to see family come together during this season.

Home Alone.

Macaulay Culkin… I know, I know he lost his marbles for a bit. But you can’t deny he is part of what makes Home Alone such a Christmas classic. A child that get’s left behind for Christmas that can outwit two burglars with his eight year old knowledge and self made booby traps… what could be better? It is so hard to find things about this movie that aren’t likable. I personally feel it is an all around terrific movie and can be enjoyed by anyone of any age. If for SOME reason you have not seen Home Alone… I’m sorry but that’s just nuts! Wet Bandits forever, haha. I have to add that the second one is a hit too, and even each sequel to follow. Yeah, from the third one and on, it is not Macaulay Culkin but still fun!

Four Christmases.

I personally have never really had to deal with a crazy back and forth when it comes to holidays. To be this couple, it would just blow my mind! Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn are celebrating four separate Christmas occasions in ONE day! Just imagine going from one house, to another, to another, to ANOTHER and each house just getting worse and worse. This is not your typical holiday pick and I feel most people have not seen this movie but I LOVE it. The corny laughs and family moments are enough to put this at the top of my list!

How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000).

I have loved this movie as far back as I can remember! Jim Carrey is too much to handle in the best way possible. I have to say, I do love each version of the Grinch but this one takes the cake, every time. The actress that plays Cindy Lou Who and the pup that plays Max are the CUTEST and have a cute bond with the Grinch. It melts my heart year after year!

I may have picked just five Christmas movies as faves but let me tell you… it was NOT easy! There are SO many Christmas movies that I love and for the ones that I don’t I probably just haven’t seen yet. Except, Love Actually, I’m sorry but I just can’t do that movie. I love all those crazy intertwined stories, just not this one… don’t hate! But I want to hear from you, what are some of your fave Christmas picks? Maybe give me some suggestions too, because I know there are classics out there that I am yet to see.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday, and an even better New Year! 🎄

See ya,
Samm 🌻
