My Top Ten Picks on Disney+.

Can you believe Disney+ launched a month ago? The anticipation for this was at an all time high for so many, one being me. I have to admit though… it was a bit overwhelming! The build up to this service was GREAT! I can watch all my fave Disney shows, movies and pretty much anything Disney could offer! But that’s just it… now that it’s here, what do I watch first?! There is SO much! But I am not here to discuss the struggle of watching every single possible thing on Disney+. I want to tell you guys what my personal top ten picks are!

And if you’re interested in signing up and don’t already have this subscription, click HERE :).

Lizzie McGuire/Lizzie McGuire Movie.

Yes, I am throwing the Lizzie McGuire show and movie together as one, hope no one minds. Along with many of the other shows on this list, I have not seen Lizzie in YEARS. I started watching the show and just thought, wow I barely remember ANY of this… it starts to come back a little but that’s part of the nostalgia! This has typical high school written all over it, and I will take this everyday. And the movie? Oh my gosh, that is what dreams are made of, as a high school girl!

Kim Possible.

“Call me, beep me, if you want to reach me!” Another one that I have not seen one episode in the longest time and WHAT A SHAME. This show was amazing and the theme song was my JAM! I wanted to be Kim so bad, even if she is an animated, fictional character. I was a tomboy for many years so maybe that is why I resonate with her so well. Whatever it is, I am so glad that we have her back, along with Ron and his naked mole rat!

The World According to Jeff Goldblum.

Maybe it’s his acting ability, his sense of humor, his weirdness, his knowledge, his charm, I don’t know what it is but I love Jeff Goldblum. It could just be all of it combined and that is just what you get with his original show on Disney+. This is a show that has an episode released week to week with different topics. So far I have watched the first two, sneakers and ice cream. There are four more out right now that I need to catch up on! I do not think that you could regret watching this…

Hannah Montana.

To this day, I can and on occasion, still do, JAM to Hannah Montana! At the time this show was my high school dream. How cool would it be to be able to live a double life like this that NO ONE knows about?! As a high schooler, of course I would think this is the coolest thing considering I could relate being the same age.

Wizards of Waverly Place.

Selena Gomez has come SUCH a long way! I love her now but I also loved her as the wizard that I grew up watching. Keith and I watched this every night to bed for at least two weeks. I missed this show so much and it truly aged well! I was still laughing along and appreciated the corniness. When the dad gets “mad” and makes those sounds and hand motions, I just can’t get enough, haha.

The Parent Trap (1961 & 1998).

Two Lindsey Lohan’s in the 90s, yes please! This is another one that I have to lump together. I am yet to see the original Parent Trap and it is a must see considering how much I love the remake. Plus, I love older movies, even from the 20s so I am so ready to watch the 60s version of this film.

All The Marvel Shows.

I know they aren’t all shows coming out but the movies too! These are another group that gets clumped into one considering it is all the same universe. Not available quite yet but there will be a variety of different Marvel shows coming to Disney+ to continue with the MCU. Some of them being, The Falcon and The Winter Solider, What If?, and Marvel’s 6161. I will say, I am most looking forward to WandaVision and Loki. These will both be released early 2021. I absolutely love Scarlet Witch, and I can’t complain when it comes to a romance! Loki was my FAVE villain so I am really looking forward to seeing him live on in this show. I am really excited for each of these series to come out but just a couple are a little higher on my list.

Mandalorian.

I have to be honest, the Mandalorian is not my fave to come out on Disney+ BUT I absolutely think it is a GREAT watch. Of course if you are a Star Wars nerd you will absolutely appreciate this but even as someone that has never seen a minute of Star Wars, I feel, can appreciate this too! The story and the action is nothing crazy that needs better understanding from the movies. Granted, I like Star Wars a lot but I am not an extreme fan so maybe that just goes to show that there are things that I am missing, lol. But either way, Baby Yoda is a single reason to watch! I also love the Mandalorian too, I think he is a great character and fit. That’s in my opinion, so if you disagree I will not argue! But truly, I think this is an exciting watch for anyone 🙂 .

Under Wraps.

Ughhhh, Disney Halloween movies are HERE! I wish Disney+ had been released during October so I could get the true spooky feel but I am just glad to have them. I have looked for years to get a few different Halloween or holiday Disney titles on blu-ray, or even DVD but no luck! Under Wraps was one of my faves and now I can watch it at any time during the year if I need to get in a Halloween fix! When I first saw this movie, I thought it was the coolest thing to be able to befriend a mummy. That is something that no one would ever think possible but this movie did!

Phantom of the Megaplex.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST! Once I heard about Disney+, Phantom of the Megaplex was the first to come to mind, whether it be a show or movie… in high school I watched 31 Nights of Halloween every year! Once that was done, I had no way to watch some of my fave Disney Halloween movies and now I can. I have access to all of them and at ANY time of the year! Is Phantom of the Megaplex the best Halloween movie? No. BUT it makes me happy each time I watch, I love the concept and it is basically a G rated horror movie, you just gotta love it!

Anyone my age will understand that Disney was my childhood. The fact that I get to watch these shows and movies over and over, whenever my heart desires, makes me ecstatic. These are my personal picks of what I feel should be watched on Disney+ and what I will be catching up on throughout the months to come. I absolutely feel that if you have not seen any of my selected ten, you are not doing yourself any justice. These are more so my favorites that I miss from when I was younger, rather than the best shows of Disney+. But there is a watch for anyone on this list, so enjoy 🙂 .

Check them out and let me know what you think! Even leave a comment with some of your suggestions! I always love trying new things so I am absolutely open to some Disney recommendations!

See ya,
Samm 🌻
