Smoothie Recipes I Can’t Get Enough Of.

Since quarantine started I’ve gotten into a big smoothie kick. Originally I was looking to make various acai bowls because I went from having them one or two times a week to none! I was really missing them. Then I tried a few smoothies before I tried making an acai bowl and they’ve really been hitting the spot! These are some of the ones that I been enjoying over the past couple months 🙂 .

I want to add that these are not my own recipes. I am heavily influenced by creating things based from Pinterest and that is where my inspo for these smoothies is from.

Blueberry Banana

Ingredients:
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup frozen bananas
1 tbsp of flax meal
1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
1 tsp vanilla extract

This had to be my favorite one. Blueberries are my favorite fruit so anything with blueberry is for me! Although this one came out pretty thin, next time I won’t be shy to add on the blueberries 🙂 .

Kiwi Banana

Ingredients:
1 banana
2 kiwis – peeled and chopped
1 lime – squeezed
1/2 cup milk of choice
1 cup of vanilla greek yogurt
1 cup of ice

The recipe for this one calls for 1 lime worth of juice but in my opinion that was WAY too much. Next time I will absolutely be trying 1/2 and see how that tastes. Since I get the majority of my acai bowls with kiwi, I was really itching for one with kiwi so this was a great pick!

Chocolate Covered Cherry

Ingredients:
1 – 1 1/2 cups almond milk (or milk of choice)
1/2 frozen banana
1 cup frozen sweet dark cherries
1 cup baby spinach
2 tbsp of almond butter
1 tbsp of 100% cocoa powder or cacao powder
Dollop of honey (optional)

I opted for the honey in mine. This was a great one to try! Chocolate with cherry, raspberry, etc. is always an option for me so I’m glad I picked this. I really didn’t taste the spinach and not much of the banana but they definitely added to the consistency of it. Plus since I have low iron, this is the perfect way to get my fill of iron while enjoying some chocolaty goodness!

Pineapple Banana

Ingredients:
1 cup frozen pineapple
1 cup frozen banana
1/4 cup of honey
1 cup of milk of choice

This smoothie was even better than I expected. It was sweet and creamy and made me want to be on a beach. This is the perfect summer time drink.

Strawberry Banana

Ingredients:
1 cup strawberries
1 cup bananas
1/2 cup of milk of choice, apple or orange juice

This was the most simple of the smoothies I’ve made and probably just the most simple smoothie in general. As good as a strawberry banana smoothie is, it’s just a little too basic for me so it was my lesser of the five!

In addition to the five above, I am also looking to make an orangesicle smoothie, an avocado smoothie, a peach cobbler, a chocolate peanut butter and whatever others I come across on Pinterest! I am looking forward to continuing my smoothie ventures.

When I was pinning all these different recipes to my recipe board, I didn’t consider how everything had bananas in them. I can’t get enough of bananas though so there was no complaint there!

Leave a comment if you decided to try out any of these smoothies, and let me know how they turned out 🙂 . Otherwise, I hope you enjoyed the read!

See ya,
Samm 🌻
