Summer is OFFICIALLY here! With that being said, I thought it would be fitting to give you some of my must-haves of the season. It feels like it has practically gone from winter straight into summer, so I’m sure us New Yorkers have been summer ready for awhile now. There are things that I feel are essential to have during this time of year so I wanted to share some of my thoughts on those items with you guys! These are just some to name a few but I’m sure there are many more that others would feel are “must-haves”.

CUTE Swimsuits.

For me personally, I am a bikini person but I have tried on a fair share of one pieces but they just don’t work for me. Whether you’re rocking a one piece, a bikini, or those weird thong bathing suits, you’re going to want them to be CUTE! During the winter I figured why not stock up on some new bikinis because it has been awhile. I bought five new ones from some of my new fav places to shop, Garage Clothing, Tilly’s, and Zaful. I have to say though, if you’re looking to get multiple bathing suits for cheap and with good quality, try Zaful!

I’m the type of person that normally doesn’t like to buy from online stores but Zaful actually surprised me! I bought three bathing suits from them, and to my surprise fit VERY well. One of the tops is a tad loose but nothing too far off (I wear a small, in case anyone wants reference). They have all different kinds of designs, and so many other clothing choices to choose from!

Sunglasses.

During this sunny season, I like to have two pairs of sunglasses. One to keep in my car and one to have in my pocketbook with me at all times. Plus I know myself (and I’m sure you’re just like me), I tend to lose sunglasses like it’s my job. For one reason alone, it’s good to have two pairs! A few summers ago I came across this company called, SunDaze Sunglasses. They are made from bamboo and come in the cutest glasses case I’ve seen. Guess what, it’s made from bamboo also! It seems that they don’t have too many styles but the standard looking pair seem like anyone and everyone could rock them!

More recent, I came across a company called Pela (Case). I believe they are mostly known for their phone cases so there name can be interchangeable from Pela to Pela Case. Pela is a company that wants to create a waste free future by making everyday products that are plastic free. I have bought two cases so far, the Sky Blue Turtle Edition and the Lavender Eco-Friendly case. I learned just in the past couple weeks that they company also sells sunglasses. I came across a pair I really like, Maya Eco-Friendly Sunglasses, so I think I will be purchasing those to have as my second pair to shade my eyes all summer long.

Summer Jams Playlist.

Who doesn’t have a playlist of summer hits to jam to? It’s the time to ride with the windows down, jam while tanning on the beach, and just to have handy to listen to all season long. Here is a list of some of the songs that I just can’t get enough of, and enjoy singing and bopping to.

New Additions to the Wardrobe.

Each season, whether it be Summer, Fall, Winter or Spring, it’s always fun to add some new additions to your closet! For me this year I haven’t only bought new bathing suits but some more too. At Garage, I found the cutest pair of shorts! This was my first time coming across paperbag denim shorts, and I am so glad that I did! They are pictured in the bottom left of the four pictures above. Along with those, I have bought some new tanks, palazzo/boho pants, a tubetop, some crop tops, and probably a little more. I heard that the color of the season is yellow, and I think I kept that in mind a little too much while I shopped, clearly by my outfit choices, lol.
